Fall Style Inspiration

It took a while, but now I'm finally excited about fall; of course a big portion of my excitement comes from fall fashion possibilities.  Here is some "Pinspiration" from my Fall Style Pinterest Board and some items I'd love to add to my fall wardrobe this season.

Light Layers

Late summer is the perfect time to wear light layers.  It's even better when one of those layers can be functional by providing multiple pockets.

Accidental Color Blocking

Some days call for thoughtful mix printing or sleek monochrome, but sometimes accidental color blocking (grabbing the first two pieces of clothing you put your hands on) is the way to choose your outfit of the day.

The short of it

This dress is so much more wearable since I got it shortened (previously worn in this post). Now I'm inspired to search my closet to see if I have anything else in there I haven't been wearing that could use minor alterations.  Having clothing that is the proper length is key for shorties like me and for taller ladies.

Dressy Prints

Hot, muggy weather + an easy printed dress = a happy shen! Why can't math be as easy as picking out dresses...Have a fabulous day!

I'm still evaluating what wardrobe editions I want to add for the summer, but in the interim, I'm getting use out of current items I own and love like this simple dress, clutch and shoes.  I'm a big proponent of wearing what works for your body type and simple dresses or skirts with an A-line cut work for me.

Jumpsuited Denim

 This outfit truly felt pajama-like and though that's not a goal in my weekend outfits usually, it was a bonus. The weather in Philly was so great over the weekend that I don't even mind that it's rainy today.
