I'll never abandon my dresses and skirts, but I'm really feeling pants these days, particularly pants with bold prints.  I'll definitely be on the hunt for more cute (petite friendly) pants for the season.

The weather in Philly has been great lately: sunny and crisp, with a slight hint of fall in the air.  A jacket or blazer is needed, but tights are an option and not yet a necessity.  Late summer is awesome, but fall, I think I'm finally ready for you.

Fall Style Inspiration

How to Rescue a Dress from the Donate Pile

Happy Friday! I wore this dress which I found at a clothing swap last summer.   As a simple dress, I got a little bored with the color and was thinking about tossing it in the to-donate pile for my next thrifting trip.  But I decided to get a box of RIT Dye and see if I could give it a fresh look with color.  I'm happy with the results.  For a person who doesn't have sewing skills (yet), a box of dye is my favorite way to give clothing a new look.  If you have one, what's your favorite way to rescue items from the donate pile?

Yellow + Black

There's nothing like adding a dash of yellow to your outfit to
brighten your mood.  

I've been wearing a lot more black and white lately, so adding a
dash of color gives this look a nod to spring.  Speaking of spring,
I sure hope this morning's snow was the last until next winter.

When I thrifted this skirt a few weeks ago, I was going to pack it up with my summer items, but I decided to wear it now with tights and boots and later (perhaps with platforms).   I love clothing items that work for different seasons, don't you?

Pajama-like

This jumpsuit worn as pants (last worn here) is about as close as I'll get to wearing pajamas in public...

Here's a petite girl secret about this jumpsuit: I just cut the bottom of this jumpsuit because they are a bit too long and my sewing skills are basically nonexistent (I hope to change that soon though).

I guess I'm feeling the color pink these days.  I found this pink blazer at a clothing swap recently and spray painted some well worn heels pink to give them a different look.
