Why did it take me so long to get gray skinny jeans? They are awesome. 

On another note, I woke up feeling refreshed this morning from the extra hour of sleep (I sure do miss the evening daylight though). Now that I've gotten rest, it's time to conquer my to-do list and start tying up loose ends for this year because I'm sure the November will go by as fast as the rest of the year has. I can't believe it's already time to start thinking about holiday gifts! Have an amazing week.

"Rediscovering" fall favorites that have been packed away since the summer is a wardrobe highlight for me during this time of year.  Unpacking clothing you already own is not exactly like purchasing something new, but for me it comes pretty close.  I will eventually add new fall favorites to my closet, but for now, I'm enjoying last year's favorite: skinny jeans and tapestry printed wedges (previously worn here and here).

I'll never abandon my dresses and skirts, but I'm really feeling pants these days, particularly pants with bold prints.  I'll definitely be on the hunt for more cute (petite friendly) pants for the season.

Happy Monday!  Did everyone have fun watching the thrilling Super Bowl Game (or maybe just the Half-Time show)?  There's been enough commentary going around the Internet about the game and the Half-Time show, but I will say that I thought Beyonce did a great job on her Half-Time show.  I can't speak with any expertise on football, so I'll just leave that to folks who know what they are talking about.  I'm not a regular football watcher and wasn't really rooting for either team to win but I know how serious this game is for some.  Who were you rooting for?

Taking outfit of the day photos is most challenging this time of year, so until the days lengthen a little more and the temps in Philly consistently stay above 40 degrees...mostly indoor shots may be the norm.

Vest Habit

Happy Monday! I am a creature in habit regarding several things including fashion.  I don't know what it is with me and any type of vest, but I love them.  I've had this sweater vest for a while and I just found another vest on clearance for $5 at a second hand store over the weekend.  I'm, sure I'll get tired of them eventually, but for now, I'll just go with it.

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. I wore different variations of this outfit for most of the Thanksgiving weekend and I see it being in heavy rotation during the weekends for a while.  My current fashion motto for this season is: when in doubt, add a vest.  I think it's served me well so far.

Happy Friday!  On the fall days where it's too warm to wear think tights with a skirt or dress, skinny jeans and a blazer are my "uniform".  What's your favorite fall "uniform"?

Printed and Tropical

Though I wear jeans regularly, I don't really consider myself to be a "denim person." I'd much rather  wear a skirt or dress than jeans.  I had my fill of wearing jeans daily in college.  For this reason, it took me a while to embrace colored jeans and I'm just starting to come around to liking printed jeans.  But I couldn't resist these Ralph Lauren floral jeans I found in a thrift store during the winter. These jeans were probably meant to be cropped jeans on a taller lady, but they fit me perfectly as regular length jeans.  The jeans have a higher waist-line and are more generously cut than I prefer my jeans to be, but it's fun to indulge in a trend without busting the budget.  These jeans have a tropical feel to them which is appropriate because I'd love to be in a tropical locale on vacation right now. But until I make that a reality, it's fun to look down at my colorful pants.
