This outfit worn to brave the crowds at Inauguration Day was chosen with comfort rather than style in mind.  As much as I love dressing up, tromping around the National Mall and Capitol Hill called for jeans, walkable shoes and a furry vest.

It's pretty apparent from the content of this blog that I'm not a sneaker girl but I couldn't resist these sneaker wedges when I saw them recently.  This outfit is so comfy, I may wear a variation of it again for Thanksgiving.

On a recent trip to NYC, I lucked out while thrift shopping and found this red blazer.
As a petite person, when I see a blazer that fits my proportions, requires no alterations AND fits in my budget, I scoop it up.
