August's Arrival

Despite the excessive heat, I really have enjoyed the summer and am in no rush to see it end.  I love the sunshine of summer which lends itself to spending time outdoors (unless it's 100+ degrees like it has been...).  But August is always the reality check that the summer is technically winding down.

So let's all set some fun goals (schedule a day trip, squeeze in a few outdoor movie screenings, go to a late summer festival, visit a nearby beach) and some goals centered around productivity (finish a task you've procrastinated on this summer).

    Thanks lady!  I can't even take credit for the popped collar idea.  I borrowed it from my Mom who's been doing it for years.  And you can def pin your hair up with, that's what I do! I've seen a bunch of cute updo's all over the Internet lately.

    it's reassuring to hear you say that you feel like august means summer is going away--i said that to a coworker the other day and she laughed it off and said 'THAT'S HIGHSCHOOL STUFF!' damn, i have been out of high school for nearly nine years, and it made me feel kind of dumb.  she is only a couple years older than me, so wtf! how can you not feel like the shortening days and cooler nights are summer ending?

    Ahh cute skirt and I like the matching shoes!  I know, when did it become August?  Crazy that I'm already looking at fall stuff and fashion week is practically right around the corner.
